This works for public channels only. If the video is in a private chat, or the channel has saving switched off, no website can reach it — including this one. The sections below explain how to tell which case you are in, and what to do about each.

A public channel
The channel has a @username and anyone can open it without joining. Paste the post link above and you are done.
A private chat you are in
You can see the video, but no outside service can. You do not need a downloader: open it in Telegram and save it directly, or forward it to Saved Messages.
Saving is switched off
No download arrow, forwarding greyed out, no Copy Link. The owner turned on Restrict Saving Content. Nothing here can retrieve it, and we will not publish ways around it.
Which Telegram link do you actually have?
Telegram hands out several different link shapes and only some point at a single video. This is the most common reason a link "does not work".

Why a download usually fails
When a Telegram link does not work, it is almost always one of three things. Two of them you can fix in a few seconds; the third is the channel telling every outside tool no, and there is nothing a website can do about that.

What can and cannot be downloaded
Written out plainly, because most sites in this category will not.

Why a downloaded video can look worse than the original
It depends entirely on how the video was posted, and no downloader can change it. When someone sends a video the ordinary way, Telegram re-encodes it and stores only that compressed version — so the compressed version is the only thing that exists to download. When someone sends the same video as a file, it is stored untouched and you get the original bytes.
This is why a quality picker on a downloader site is mostly theatre: nothing can hand you a resolution that was never uploaded. If a channel posts both a video and a file version of the same clip, the file is the better source.
What you get is usually MP4. Files sent as documents keep whatever container they had, which can be MKV, and can use HEVC that older phones will not play. Voice messages are OGG; round video messages are their own media type.
When you do not need this page at all
If you can see the video inside Telegram and saving is not blocked, Telegram itself is faster and gives you the better file.
- On a phone, tap the download arrow on the video, or forward the message to Saved Messages and download from there.
- On Telegram Desktop, right-click the video and use Save As. Desktop also lets you set the download folder, or be asked each time.
- Doing it inside Telegram also avoids a round trip through anyone's server, including ours.
When the link does not work
Symptom first, then the likely cause.

What we see, and what the channel sees
We only ever see the public post link you paste. There is no login, no phone number and no access to your account — a website that has never been signed in as you cannot read your private chats, and no wording on any site changes that.
Telegram does not tell the sender or the channel owner that ordinary media was saved. The exception is one-time-view media and secret chats, which are built to prevent saving in the first place.
Never type a Telegram login code or 2FA password into any website or bot. That is account takeover, not a download.
Size limits
Telegram itself caps a single file at 2 GB, or 4 GB for Premium accounts, so nothing on Telegram is larger than that and any promise of bigger single-file downloads is false. Large files take proportionally longer to prepare.
Downloading a whole channel
A website can only do one post at a time. Batch downloading means a tool acting as your own logged-in account, which carries rate limits and real account risk. If you belong to the chat, Telegram Desktop can already export its history including media, which is the safer route.
Before you download
Saving something you legitimately have access to is a different thing from mirroring an entire channel or working around a restriction the owner deliberately switched on. The last one is where actual exposure lies, and it is why this page does not publish bypass techniques. Copyright and each platform's terms remain your responsibility.
Questions people actually ask
- Can I download from a private channel?
- Not through any website, including this one. A site that has never been logged in as you cannot see chats that require your account. If you are a member, save it inside Telegram instead.
- The download arrow is missing on a video. Why?
- The channel has Restrict Saving Content switched on. It removes downloading, forwarding and copy-link for everyone, including members. It is a deliberate setting, not a bug.
- Does Telegram notify anyone that I downloaded a video?
- No, not for ordinary media. One-time-view media and secret chats are the exception, and those cannot be saved anyway.
- Why is my downloaded video blurry?
- Because it was posted as a video, so Telegram compressed it and that compressed copy is the only one that exists. Videos posted as files keep their original quality.
- Can I pick 1080p?
- Only if 1080p was uploaded. No tool can add resolution that was never there.
- Do I need a Telegram account?
- No. Public channel posts are readable without one.
- Can I download a whole album at once?
- One item at a time. In Telegram, open the specific item and copy its link, otherwise you may get a different item from the group.
- Are downloader bots safe?
- Treat any bot or site asking for your phone number, login code or 2FA password as an attempt to take over your account. A legitimate public-link downloader never needs any of them.
- The file downloaded but will not play.
- It is likely an MKV container or HEVC video from a file-type post. Try VLC, which plays both.
- Do you keep the videos?
- No. The file is prepared, handed to your browser, and cleaned up afterwards.
